Ursula Penn joined Gryphon in 2026 and is a director for Gryphon’s BIA business intelligence team. She has more than 20 years of experience conducting complex investigations across the federal, military, and private sectors.

Prior to joining Gryphon, Ursula served as Director of Primary Source Intelligence at Business Intelligence Advisors (BIA), where she led complex investigative engagements and specialized in executive due diligence, investigative interviewing, and open-source intelligence (OSINT). Prior to BIA, Ursula served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), where she led fraud, criminal, and counterintelligence investigations and was selected as Fraud Branch Chief. She later conducted personnel security and suitability investigations supporting the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. Ursula has maintained an active Top Secret security clearance since 2004 and holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University.
