Katherine Velasquez joined Gryphon in 2020 as an associate for the due diligence team. She specializes in conducting due diligence investigations on domestic and international individuals and entities. Kat has over 5 years of experience in various areas of investigations, such as litigation support, private investigations, due diligence, pre-employment investigations, vulnerability and risk assessment, sexual misconduct, international investigations and health care fraud. Prior to joining Gryphon, Kat worked for an international accounting firm under their risk advisory practice. Additionally, she has worked for a private investigative and security consulting firm as well as a data science company.
Kat’s case experience includes matters involving proprietary and open-source research and analysis, data mining, social media deep-dives and monitoring as well as field investigations. She has a Bachelor’s in psychology and Studio Art, from The City College of New York, CUNY. Kat is a member of the American Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a native Spanish.
