Heidi joined Gryphon as a member of the litigation support team in 2019. Previously, Heidi investigated securities firms and brokers at FINRA. While at FINRA, she was the sole investigator on a case that led to the regulator’s first disciplinary action for a cryptocurrency. Heidi also worked at Kroll, where she specialized in human and business intelligence and proxy fights.
Before becoming an investigator, Heidi spent nearly 15 years as a journalist, writing for Forbes, the Associated Press and the San Francisco Chronicle, on Russia, investing, the art market and multinational companies. Heidi began her career as a reporter in the Russian Far East. She graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in history and a minor in Russian language. In connection with her reporting, Heidi has appeared by invitation before the Helsinki Commission on Human Rights and has been interviewed by CNN, the BBC and other outlets.
